The Challenge
Inventory data was updated in nightly batch jobs, causing overselling and stockouts. Order routing was manual and geography-based rather than optimised for cost and speed. Warehouse teams used 5 different systems with no unified view.
Our Solution
We built a real-time inventory engine using Apache Spark for stream processing, Redis for sub-millisecond stock lookups, and ML-based demand forecasting for predictive restocking. An automated routing engine optimises every order for delivery speed, cost, and warehouse capacity.
